Thoughts on dwarf planets in astrology.

Now this is a very interesting topic! As many of us know, new discoveries by Nasa have pretty well rocked the astrological collective. Nothing like this has happened since the discovery of Uranus, alongside the discovery of the telescope. With all the incredible new developments in quantum physics, it is becoming possible to look deeper and deeper into our universe- which, as we know, is a mirror of the human soul. Dwarf planets in astrology may be key to understanding something we really need to know.

That particular discovery by Herschel conincided, as I have written before, with massive outpourings of knowledge upon humanity and outpourings of blood and fire upon the earth of Europe and the Americas. For with the invention of the printing press and optic lenses, came the Reformation. With the Reformation, came a new and bold humanistic understanding that we, as people, have much more potential than was ever before dreamed possible.

What came to light when we turned our gaze to the Kuiper belt and saw it not populated by Pluto alone, but by many others- Sedna, Makemake, Haumea, Eris- to name a few? These dwarf planets in astrology may seem insignificant, but they have awakened us all.

Pluto was discovered around about the same time as the atomic bomb and the time at which Jung and Freud were digging into the human mind like the brilliant geniuses they both were. Pluto has always been associated with psychology and with nuclear annihilation, with holocaust.

This new way of thinking that it represents, born in the bone-ash of the post-atomic age, has given birth to advanced understanding of particle physics nourished by each powerful nation’s wish not to be the first one nuked to a crumble. This is a very Plutonian motivation! When, motivated by great extremity, we dig inside our darkness- we might find many new worlds, many new hidden currents and legends…

Once upon a time, I think we can all think of when our minds ended at Saturn. We came up against our own self-imposed limitations, and we stopped there. Yet with maturity and the turning of the ages, great crises move us into new times of discovery. Indeed, at one point we can be empowered to let go of our attachment to death and pain itself as the end of our world and our understanding- and be guided to new and strange worlds of which, as yet, we know little.

This may be another point in history in which we take quite the quantum leap, similar to when we discovered the existence of Uranus. I hope there isn’t a similar amount of warfare as there was in the seventeenth century with the Thirty Years’ War and similar conflicts. However, it is the nature of humanity to become a little destabilised when we hold an abundance of new knowledge in our hands… let us not forget our connexion to Spirit, in all things.
